BACKING GATES
BACKING GATES
Electrified backing gate
This type of backing gate is characterised by a movable bulkhead which reduces gradually the dimensions of the waiting room. This bulkhead, being suspended on the roof of the structure can be electrified to prevent the animals to push it, get under it or damage it.Technical characteristics
Made of galvanised section bars. The stainless steel gate is retractable thanks to a gear motor; the lifting is realised through bands made of high resistance textile fibers. The advancement is assured by a second gear motor equipped with a pinion inserted on a roller chain outstretched between the two extremities of the waiting room. Everything is supported by galvanised rails fixed to the supporting structure of the barn. The system is managed by a control panel fixed on the backing gate and a button keyboard in the milking room. The electrification is managed by a impulse control unit placed on the backing gate.
Mechanical backing gate
This type of backing gate is called “barrier backing gate”. Electricity to push animals towards the milking room is not required as this backing gate has the task of reducing gradually the dimensions of the waiting room accompanying the animals towards the entrance of the milking parlour. Its solid structure makes the backing gate impossible to move and the animals will be accompanied in the direction of the milking parlour. Another important feature of this type of backing gate is to allow the loading of a group of animals after another, without stopping the flow of the animals entering the milking parlour. When the first group moves forward toward the milking room, behind it a second group can be already loaded. Once the first group milked and the backing gate is very near the entrance of the milking parlour, a mechanism is activated to lift the barrier, placing it parallel to the ground and make it pass above the head of the animals of the next group, descending behind them. This system is particularly appropriate for big dimensions herd or wherever you want to reach important working performances of the milking parlour, avoiding down time due to the loading operations of the animals groups.
Technical characteristics
Made of galvanised steel; The lifting of the gate and its movement are realised through an oleo-dynamic control unit, the advancement is managed by a cogwheel inserting on a chain placed inside guide rails and outstretched between the two extremities of the waiting room.
